Phones and more!

I gave in...I did it. All the pressure boiled over and I finally caved! I have a home phone for the first time in two years:( I'm not really happy about this, but I know it will make things easier for everyone else. Sometimes things in life are not about you...it's about other people. This is a case of I'm involved in planning a new church ministry and church service so I need to be more reachable than a cell phone that has an out of state phone number! Certainly anyone can call this number that wants to...so feel free! You will probably get an answering machine because I'm never home...but hey you can still hear my voice!! I of course still have my cell phone, same number for now...hopefully...big hopefully here...I will be changing that number in the next few weeks!!
On a more serious note! I would like to take a moment and tell you all about a very important ministry that I'm involved with. It feels great to be a part of something that will touch so many people's lives and to be doing here in my home town. I've struggled being home and have really had many moments of frustration here, but I see this happening and I thank God for His leading. L3 is a worship service and a ministry that my church will be starting in February to reach people within the community and even people within our own church. To gather people together and bring them to a true sense of worship and teach them about Jesus! I think the biggest obstacle with this ministry has been the lack of financial funds. Our church just finished building a beautiful new church, but we are stretched beyond the budget. L3 is a completely faith based ministry, which I can honestly say everyone involved in it has all the faith in God that He will provide the funds we need for a worship leader and the funds to make this successful! Our church is truly blessed with an awesome worship band and of course the awesome worship leader we had for the last couple of years...Josh Buck! They are just finishing up the final touches on a worship CD to help raise funds for the L3 ministry and for Josh Buck's new church plant, Greenhouse Ministries! Let me know if you are interested in supporting either one of these ministries by purchasing a CD...I can hook you up with one for a small donation of $15!! There I go....business girl and all:) Can you tell this is part of my job in the whole thing!!! So we have that going to help us out and we are also designing a t-shirt to sell for L3! AND here is the one thing that I think will be the most fun! We will be having a coffee shop...which guess who is in charge!!! You got it...ME! I'm so excited! Yes I know I don't drink coffee and I know the food portion of it will be a slight challenge for me...but I can make this work! Through God all things are possible!! Even me learning how to cook and make coffee! No laughs here!! It's going to be awesome and God is going to do amazing things here in Kalamazoo County! I've been on many missions trips and I guess I see it this way...I don't need to go out of the country to be on a missions trip...I have a mission field right here in my home town, we all do! The thing is, sometimes it is easier to go out of the country because witnessing to people in your home town is much further out of your comfort zone than you are willing to go. Don't get me wrong here...I think missions trips anywhere, whether it is in the US or some other country are absolutely fantastic and a must do for all! This is scary for me, and I'm sure this is scary for a lot of people on the L3 team. We have a lot of work to do and a lot of planning and hours of work have already gone into this. Please be in prayer for the L3 ministry and for Greenhouse Ministry up in Grand Rapids...they are planting a brand new church up there and are working so hard...you can click on the link to the right to read more about their ministry, please do...they need your prayers too! And again...if you are interested in purchasing the CD let me know...just $15 donation people...it will be awesome!!

Sorry this was a long blog...I had to share what God is doing here in Kazoo! :) and put my plugs in for prayer for two wonderful ministries!!

P.S. my new home phone number is...ummm...sorry...e-mail me if you want it:)
