So I am hooked!! On clipping coupons that is!! What wonderful thing! I've never really done this before because I've never really thought about living on a budget or living responsibly. What a concept right? Well I thought so! I however have started to feel like an adult in my grocery getter vehicle:) Now don't get me wrong...I absolutely LOVE my Jeep!! It's the best vehicle I've ever had! Now some of you are thinking...she wasn't saying that when she first got it...well that's because there were slight issues with going from a sports car...to a four door...truck type vehicle for me! I am LOVING it now!! I'm honestly not sure that I will ever buy another vehicle...way to go JEEPS!!! Back to the coupon thing! Monday morning I was sitting in my living room going through my newspaper...and I thought to myself...I should start clipping coupons...I bet I could save some money! So I did! How awesome is this...even if something is on sale...you can still use your coupon! I am probably the last person to figure this out...but I'm excited for myself! So today at the grocery store as an amateur coupon clipper I saved a total of $3.00 using coupons! AND then something else I realized!! Now hold on people...this is REALLY good! Being back here in Michigan, most people know and realize that when you buy pop in cans, you pay an extra .10 cents for bottle deposit per can. I should know this because for goodness sakes I grew up here! Well after over three years of not living here...I honestly didn't think about it. I was throwing away my pop cans :( Until one day I was reading my grocery receipt and noticed the bottle deposit line! I freaked and realized...oooppps!!! So I started saving my cans...how disgusting by the way!! I rinse them out with water and throw them in a sack! So today I took all my cans to the store and you seriously have to feed them through this really dumb machine. When all your cans are fed through...you get to push the green button! I was excited for the green button because it said I was going to get $3.00!! Whew hooo!!! So it prints you out a receipt looking thing and when you check out with your groceries they take that amount off your final bill. So after that $3.00 and the $3.00 from the coupons...I saved a whoppen $6.00!!!!!! Whooooo hooooo....go me!!
I really am a lot smarter than I'm appearing right now...I promise! This MBA degree is working really well for me!! I just get a little excited over the little stuff in life...it doesn't take much...seriously!
Just the little things people!! :)
