Ahhh....Skiing!

My dad, Jonathan, Ryan, and I ventured to our first ski trip this last Friday! Oh what fun:) We were planning on driving to northern Michigan to Boyne Mountain, but bad roads and weather prevented that, so we stopped in Cadillac at Caberfae. There was A LOT of snow, which made skiing a little bit more difficult, but still lots of fun! I made it almost the whole trip with no falls or injuries, but towards the end of our day I had a really bad fall. I don't remember much of it other than landing hard on my back. I layed there just groaning because it hurt so bad! People from the chair lift yelled down to me asking if I was ok, I just yelled back yes. We decided to call it a day after that run because Jonathan had fallen pretty bad too. On the way home I had fallen asleep and when I woke up my left wrist was in excrutiating pain and swelling up fast! I couldn't move my fingers or my wrist. All I could think was oh no not again! We got home and I iced it for a little over an hour, took a vicodin and went to bed. I woke up the next morning and it was actually feeling a bit better, but still pretty swollen. At about 11:00 I decided that we should probably go to urgent care and have it checked out. The xrays looked "suspicious" so they splinted my wrist and said they would call on Sunday with the Radioligists report. They called Sunday and said that nothing was broke...PRAISE GOD! They still wanted me to wear the splint if I was still in pain. If you know me well...you know that splint came off right away! I am so thankful!!! :)
