So how fun is this!! We went to the lake for the first time last Saturday! It was 9:00pm and I was soooo determined to go, so my brother and dad amused me by joining me and helping me! I learned to drive and tow too...so I'm on my way!!! Now I just have to learn how to back it all up into the lake...hmmm that may take a while and probably a few embarrassing moments!
This is my dad and Jonathan getting it all ready to go!!
Jonathan taking it out of the water...it was nearing 10:00pm...YIKES!!
Jonathan...just a nice picture after he put it on the trailer!
Getting ready to pull out...can you tell how dark it is...nearing 10:00pm!
And I should probably put a note on here about the new job. It is going fantastic! I'm so happy...whew that's a relief! My co-workers and bosses are all so incredibly nice and all have been very welcoming! The drive has been interesting and getting VERY expensive for me, but hopefully it won't have to last too much longer! Something funny for you...I see very interesting things while I'm driving. Two days ago I saw a lady swerving all over the road...couldn't figure out why until she passed me and I looked over she was putting on make-up...mascara and eye shadow...the whole nine yards!!! Today is the best yet...I saw a guy running on the highway...seriously it was like he was doing his evening work-out going north on US131!! I didn't see any broken down cars anywhere so I couldn't figure it out!! THEN I saw a guy just taking a stroll down the highway going south on US131 in his tank top, shorts, and BARE FEET!! He had no shoes and wasn't carrying any and again....I saw no broken down cars anywhere! Seriously the drive between Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo is incredibly boring so I find stuff to look at and have become extremely observant!!
I'll have better pictures to post probably in a few days...I think tomorrow is another lake day:)
Love you all!! Jen

Hey Jen, I’m glad to hear that you are enjoying your new job at Cornerstone. Aren’t you so relieved to be out of the IPD world? I know I sure was.
I enjoyed the photos of the fun at the lake. What lake is this? We will be in Michigan over the 4th of July weekend. My uncle lives on Runyan Lake (south of Flint). He always has a big 4th of July party at his house. We all have a great time fishing, riding the pontoon boat and wave runners. The evening concludes with a fireworks show put on by the neighborhood association. Keep in touch.

Hey Bryan!! It is soooo good to be out of the IPD world...amazing that I can sleep at night now!! Seriously! Cornerstone is good...much smaller than IWU and sometimes I miss IWU!!
The first set of pictures is Eagle lake a few miles from my parent's house, the second set of pictures is Long Lake, about 5 miles or so from my parent's house. Both very nice lakes...on the medium/small side, but certainly large enough for some good fun! This Saturday I think we are headed to Lake Michigan...the BIG lake!! :) Should be lots of fun with the wave runner!
I hope you have tons of fun in Michigan!
Good to hear from you!!:) Jen
Enjoyed a lot! »
