Attitude…make it a matter of gratitude! I’m really learning to live my life this way! Gratitude is so many things…thanks, thankfulness, appreciation, gratefulness…and I’m sure I could think of many more…but I will end my list there! If you live your life constantly thinking in the back of your mind gratitude…how different your outlook would be. I tell you what...I have probably had the world’s worst attitude these last few months! I almost can’t believe I am admitting that…but I am! I absolutely love my family with all my heart you all have to know and understand that! I however have had the most unbelievable time adjusting to living here in Michigan again! There have been many, many times that I felt I made a huge mistake and honestly I still think that quite often. Then there are those awesome moments that I can just be with my mom and dad or my siblings whenever I want at a moments notice! And even better…I can play with my nephew Jonah whenever I want! To hear him yell Jenper! Is awesome! He can’t say my name yet…but Jenper is kind of cute don’t you think?!?! Can I just tell you how much energy this little guy has!! I can hardly keep up with him…but he is soooo much fun to be around! I’ve never played legos more in my entire life than I have these last few months! He loves to build towers and then knock them over…go figure! To know that I will actually be here when my sister has her next baby…it’s a girl this time!! J Is just so exciting for me! With all that said it hasn’t made things easier either…kind of confusing I know! Believe me I know! I hate that I have felt that I made a mistake! Saturday night I was sitting in my apartment thinking there is no way in this world that I’m going to put up a Christmas tree…way to much work and I just don’t care this year! I honestly was sitting there feeling sorry for myself…I feel pretty safe in saying this…because I know that I’m not the only person that does this…maybe the only person that will admit out loud that I did this!!;) Ahhh…oh well! So Sunday rolled around and I really think God didn’t like my attitude that I’ve been having recently! Sunday I felt lifted up in my spirit and really started thinking a lot about gratitude and what it really truly means. I really started thinking about how much it relates to your attitude. I can tell you one thing to always be thinking about what you can be thankful for instead of what is hurting you or freaking you out really seriously makes a huge difference. So I will be putting up my Christmas tree and I will be in the holiday spiritJ AND I’m going to try really hard not to let the robbers or the person that broke into my vehicle freak me out anymore! My life has gone through a lot of obstacles this last year…physical, emotional, and I made some pretty big decisions. I can question decisions I’ve made wondering if I really listened to God, but in the end I know that I have to let God take over this and let Him work in my life because I need to trust in Him. He knows the plan that He has for my life! I don’t know what my future holds or where God will take me. I know with all my heart that I will be wherever He wants me to be whether that is in Michigan or some other state. I pray that each and every one of you first weren’t bored to tears with what I had to say…but I suppose you didn’t have to read all of this;) But most importantly you know that you are always in my prayers and I pray that you know that you have all touched my life in some way and I truly appreciate each and every one of you and am thankful for your friendships and your support!
This is a cool quote that I got today!!
Ability is what you're capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it. - Lou Holtz
P.S. We had about 9 inches of snow for Thanksgiving!!:) Just for those of you who absolutely love the snow like me…I thought I’d share:)
